Commanders’ Antonio Gandy-Golden retiring after two seasons

The Washington Commanders’ 2020 fourth-round decide Antonio Gandy-Golden is retiring after two NFL seasons and intends to return to high school, head coach Ron Rivera introduced Thursday.

Gandy-Golden, 24, performed large receiver at Liberty, the place he completed with 3,722 yards and 32 touchdowns in 4 seasons. In two seasons with the Commanders, he caught only one cross for 3 yards. Earlier this offseason, he started a transition to tight finish with Rivera saying that the bulked-up model of Gandy-Golden had a chance to be a contributor for the Washington offense.
