Forge FC has signed former Toronto FC ahead Jordan Hamilton to a multi-year contract.
The 26-year-old from Scarborough, Ont., was with Eire’s Sligo Rovers FC most not too long ago, recording two objectives and two assists in 13 appearances.
“We’re very completely satisfied to welcome Jordan to our membership,” Forge director of soccer Costa Smyrniotis mentioned in an announcement. “He’s a top quality participant we all know fairly effectively, who will strengthen an already stable attacking group as we head into the again half of our season.”
Hamilton joins fellow former TFC gamers Kyle Bekker, Ashtone Morgan and Emery Welshman at Forge.
He provides to an already potent Forge offence. The Hamilton-based membership tops the eight-team CPL standings at 10-4-2 and leads the league with 37 objectives.
Hamilton spent 2011 to 2019 within the Toronto FC system, shifting up the ranks to make 66 appearances for the primary crew in all competitions with 15 objectives and 5 assists. He spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Columbus Crew.
In 2021, he scored 5 objectives in 18 appearances for Indy Eleven of the USL Championship.
Hamilton has gained two caps for Canada and, as a youth worldwide, performed on the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.
