Vancouver Whitecaps win Voyageurs Cup beating Toronto FC in penalty shootout

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps have gained the Canadian Championship ultimate and the Voyageurs Cup with a hard-fought 5-3 victory in a penalty shootout tonight at B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver.

Brian White gave the Vancouver Whitecaps a 1-0 lead within the nineteenth minute, however Lukas MacNaughton tied the match within the seventy fifth to drive the shootout.

Vancouver outscored Toronto within the shootout 5-3.

Each Main League Soccer sides had performed video games on Saturday.
